Well i do know a few xbots who were degrading this game over car damage. Well now is there so whats next? Just admit that the GT is the king xbots!
Man it feels so good being in the right camp. Sony`s camp. I do have an x360 too but i hate it.
I don`t even need to read the articles about this game cos i know it`ll be huge and is a day 1 for me no matter what reviewers say. Have played all previous and i`m a huge fan. Same goes for GTA and GT.
Don`t forget this is just a taste of whats to come. You have not played the full game yet so you don`t know of the features it wil include. And i guess forza simulates how to drive a car sitting on the bonnet or up in the trees as there is no in car view. When was last time you drove a car sitting on the front bonnet? Dumbass!
So far neither GT nor Forza have done a real sim they`re still far off, but GT is just that little bitt closer to being a sim especially with damage confirmed. ...
I hate halo and i also hate gears, in fact i hate every shooter that involves monsters (resistance i`m looking at you) and i still own a x360. I do hate it but there are a few games which i play now and than with PGR4 being no. 1, closely followed by COD4 and Forza2. In fact i own 25 games for the x360 but i never really play them.
But the future for my x360 looks grim as there are no games that appeal to me this year unless Alan Wake comes out. But with the ps3 fulfilling my gaming ...
PGR4 is no doubt a very good game. I hate arcade racers but i love pgr4, but is just no match to GT5P which had left my jaw on the floor. Funny thing is that GT5P looks even better when playing than it does on the replays.
And they say ps3 can`t do good gfx? With much better gfx than the x360, much better reliability, bluray an a stellar line up you gotta be mad to still choose the x360 over the ps3. But i guess the fanboyism will make some people play Banjo Kazooe than pick up a ps3
Gotta agree with everything you said and i hope polyphony rectify some of the points especially jaggies. But for a taste of whats to come it offers close to what some full racing games offers.
Forza2 is a full game and still:
1. Only over 300 cars
2. Horrible ugly GFX
3. Far not enough tracks.
4. No weather changes.
5. No night racing.
6. No open wheel cars.
7. No rally cars or rally tracks.
8. When watching the replay...
BS! If this was true there would be no way it could have been secret for so long.
BTW i find it impossible to win in the s-class races! I have a ford GT (race car) and in the pp600, on fuji, best i can do is 10th. Thats pathetic. I can win races online no problem but i`m just no match to S-class AI opponents. Any sugestions?
Ha ha only one x360 game in top 15? And gt5p as a demo sold more in one day than any full game for the full week. When GT5 comes out will dwarf even the mighty Halo.
And i know that Wii is plenty (at least in my area) and the ps3 still sells more.
I do own a x360 but i hate it for all the problems it gave me so i`m full of joy when i see that it`s doing so terribly bad.
The online needs work, gfx needs more work and overall a felling of unfinished game and yet is still the best racer out there!! That sais alot about F2 and PGR4 and any racer for that matter. For me GT has been, is and will forever remain King of racing.
I have the game and i honestly must say that it looks better when playing than the replays, which looks to need more AA. Also the backgrounds needs more work but the physics are outstanding.
I was driving a Viper on daytona and even on the straits you could loose it if just yank the wheel. You must be so smooth.
Overall i am in love with this game, but the online is a bit of a let down with people playing bumper cars.
You never played GT5 so you don`t know anything about the features it has so as far as we know of GT5 seems to be the best racer out there.
Don`t really care much about damage. I love GT anyway but is a nice feature nevertheless. I play forza2 alot and with all the so praised damage system most people on live turn it off completely.

My gf knows about my hobby from day 1 and she understands me. She gets a bitt upset when i choose to play over spending time with her but i told her is my way or the highway. And it`s been like that for over 5 years now. But she`s pregnant, expecting a baby boy so i`m sure i`ll have to cut down on my gaming time when he arrives if i like or not. Atleast untill i can play games with him.
The point is that i`m not ashamed of my hobby and never will be.
I played all GTs and all TOCA ans F1 and F2 and all the racing games with a score above 50 on all platforms including PC, and for me no game comes close to GT. I`m a racing fanatic and car enthusiast.
I will play this game as well, but to compare this with GT is madness. Actually people were saying the other day that in places GRID looks better than GT5P. I know this is low res video but GT looks much better than anything even on low res video.
The physics again look arcadey, the cars seem light and easy to control, the damage system showed nothing impressive there and the gfx looked no more than ok. It`s all "been there, done that".
And 50 cars?! WTF? Even Ferrari Challenge will have more cars than that and all exclusive ferrari cars. They did so well with Toca3 on last gen consoles and now with all the power and can only come up with that.
I love racing games so i`ll give this a rent.
I don`t even care what features gt5p has i just want to playe it. Huge fan of the series and will pick up any game with GT in the title
Wee Wee, you don`t own a ps3 so you can`t judge something you never used. I own both consoles but i must say the ps3 is my favoured and is being used more often. The only games that get me playing the x360 are F2 and PGR4 and with the x360s line up looks like is about to have a dusty year. There are no games that appeal to me this year, since i`m a racing/adventure tipe.
Same here GT still the king but i will pick up grid as well if the physics are good. I just love racing games as long as they have good gfx and physics.

It hurts does`t it? When there`s nothing you can say it`s so hard to find an argument. But if it makes you feel any better yes, it is coming later this year.
